BB8: Week 4

Monday, 25 June 2007 23:39 by Admin

Week 4.

Jonathan, who was the new guy has now well settled in along with the Billi, Brian and especially Liam who now has gained £100,000 after Seany, Carole and Jonathan, who were up for eviction were summoned to the Diary Room. With one minute thinking time, they had to unanimously decide which housemate would receive £100,000. They managed to decide on new-boy Liam – who, to be honest, seems probably one of the better ones to give it to – imagine if It were Charley!

The problem for Liam is that the housemates think all the money is gone, and some are now trying to take sides to Liam from a manipulative point of view. One of these girls is Charley who, was sucking up to him immediately.

Earlier in the week, the nominations were put forward including Carole because she was moaning too much, but I think she was in the right, especially with housemates taking her washing. It is obvious who’s towel s whose and the less talented housemates just take any one. Carole is only trying to keep the house in good condition.

Seany, on the other hand, was put up for eviction because of his general attitude – non-respect for others and his practical jokes.  He did go too far when he removed Lesley’s covers causing her to leave, but amusingly, he did put wet paper into Charley’s boots causing her to go off on one about how they were expensive and how unfair it was. Actually, it was hilarious.

After Jonathan nominated, he commented about how he "arrogantly" knows the people better in the house better than themselves.

Charley actually liked this comment, so did I!

The task this week was to swim the English channel by swimming several thousand lengths of the swimming pool while 2 other housemates are sitting in a boat. While many housemates contributed without hassle, after a comment by Jonathan about the number (or lack) of lengths swam by Chanelle, she went off about how the water was freezing and how unfair it was to comment.

Ultimately, I have sat in a bath of Ice and water, and I can say the water in the pool would NOT have been freezing.

Since his £100,000, Liam has been getting closer to Nikki, until Nikki has started being too close which has driven him away – no guesses what she is after.  Ziggy and Jonathan both noted this. Ziggy also decided to get back with Chanelle after a spate of arguments – which is no surprise as let’s face it, Chanelle really is always complaining. Especially after the Swimming task. Of course this was not to laugh and he started contemplating splitting up with her again – and losing his "OK deal" that these BB Couples are always after.

Seany was the one who got evicted in the end – he kept saying that everything was cool and otherwise didn’t seem too surprised. Earlier he said to Jerry that he wanted to be a role model.

Needless to say, now he is out, some are saying he was not quite as he appeared in the house.

Who is going to win? Laura or Carole.
Who is out next – PLEASE – CHARLEY!

Well, here's hoping that Carole will win, but we'll have to wait until August to find that one out, won't we!! By the way, it is exactly two years ago tomorrow since Eugene entered the famous Orwellian house for the first time, but initially albeit in the Secret Garden...

OK, Steve, I believe you 100%!! What I meant was that Eugene's first actual television appearance was on the same evening that Richard Whiteley had died on Sunday 26th June 2005, although Big Brother had been filmed as live two days earlier and then condensed to be shown on that particular evening. By the way, footage of Eugene's appearance can be found on the youtube website by typing in "big brother 6 uk 2005 secret garden" or "big brother 6 uk 2005 eugene orlaith kinga"; hope that this helps.

So, as I quite rightly predicted on my own website, Billi has now well and truly gone... so who is next out, I wonder? We'll soon find out next week, but in the mean time, I would like to mention that tomorrow sees the 40th anniversary of the first appearance of Test Card F on BBC2, meaning that we have had colour television in this country for 40 years - can you believe that?!

I would also like to take this opportunity in also asking those who view this page when I offer my utmost sympathy to the friends and families of those who have been affected by the terrible fire which had occurred on Saturday (30th June) at Glasgow International Airport at this very sad time.

So Laura has now been evicted... but watch this space now that an Australian housemate has come to replace her during the course of this forthcoming "fake" week!

Well, so we have had a fake week this week, Charley was quite correctly placed to be fake-evicted but of course was sent back in again, so we are now well and truly half-way through the contest and what happens next? We'll just have to wait and see - so watch this space...!!

For those of you who remember watching the Brainiac: Science Abuse episode featuring Eugene last August on Sky there is another chance to see it on Sky Three on Friday evening at 6pm. Also, you can see photographs of Eugene's recent trip to Launderston Bay in Scotland via the West of Scotland Amateur Radio Society's website on www.wosars.org.uk.

So, this is now a turn up for the books... Nicky is now well and truly out of the house and there are now eight contestants left... Who do we all think should be next out, I wonder?
