Celebrity Big Brother

Tuesday, 9 January 2007 18:41 by Admin

The house seems to have sorted itself out after 6 days.
The housemates are:

  • Jermaine Jackson – Michael Jackson's brother - who expects everyone to know who he is.
  • Carole Malone - A journalist who writes columns on Big Brother.
  • Cleo Rocos - An actor - don't know where from.
  • Danielle Lloyd - Model and Footy Wife. Famous for becoming Miss UK and having her title stripped away for getting her pants off.
  • Dirk Benedict - He was "Face" in "The A-Team" and turned up in a Bedford Van. He seems very down to earth and I think will do well.
  • Donny Tourette - Musician from a Support band canned the Towers of London. Likes to swear - good name!
  • Ian Watkins - Used to be in Steps, now an Actor. Must have told the press he was going in so he could ‘come out’ the day Big Brother began.
  • Jo O’Meara - Singer from S-Club 7. Now raising dogs in Essex. Seems a nice enough person.
  • Ken Russell - He is a ‘legend’ film director responsible for the film "TOMMY". Quite old, but potentially up for it.
  • Leo Sayer - I can still remember him in the charts when I was VERY young - well, born. Coming from Shoreham, and making some great songs in the 70s, he is my favourite to win.
  • Shilpa Shelly - This girl has been in numerous Bollywood films and is by far the best looking in the house. She has a posh background, but I think she can accustom herself to the house.
  • Jade, Jack and Jackiey - Jade was brought in on Friday (day 3) and so were her Boyfriend and Mum. Definitely the best known, but will they be the best contestants?

Things are hotting up in the Big Brother House. After only 4 days, all the small problems are becoming big. Already we have had three Js add themselves - Jade (Jade Goodey – the former Geographer from Big Brother!), her Mum - Jackiey and Jades Boyfriend, Jack - interesting. Initially they just seemed to be keeping together, but managed to separate the house with chosen housemates becoming part of Jade’s "Extended Family" while the others live in the Servant's Quarters waiting on them ‘Hand and Foot’.

This has all become too much for some with Donny Tourette deciding to ‘Jump the Fence’ for reasons along the lines of not wanting being a servant for Jade. Didn't stop him
wanting to be a servant for Leo Sayer's wife though! Another one to leave the show is Ken Russell. I’d of thought he would have had plenty to say being of much worldly experience but it appears not. He was all finding the company too cold for his likings especially after Jackiey asked for the heating to be turned down and Ken found it then very cold. Jackiey said she did not like his snoring.

Jade was keeping Jackiey in order after offending Shilpa Shetty by calling her ‘Princess’. Turns out that the J's cannot call her Shilpa more Shapel! This caused Jackie to walk off and Shilpa to say ‘I am not finished with you yet’.

Leo, my favourite along with Dirk Benedict has been quite quiet and played the game fine so far. Though amusingly, he commented on people at parties who ask him to sing and get all defensive when he does not want to as if they have figured out some big secret - I know the feeling Leo!

By the way I think that Cleo Rocos used to be an assistant to Kenny Everett in a BBC1 comedy quiz show, I would possibly think back in 1987, called Brainstorm; I hope that this helps.

They really should have put you and yours into the programme instead of Jade and hers!

I'm really surprised you have not been snapped up by Top Gear yet, or are you too reckless even for them? Smile

Well, that's if Eugene and his family are totally up for it - besides which though, I think that since the comment by Jade Goody which has caused great offence - I wouldn't at all be surprised if Channel 4 had made a decision this very afternoon to have the show axed after the amount of damage which they (and the station!) may have caused to Asian communities not only here, but throughout the world. And besides which, if Channel 4 do decide to axe the show, think of what little chances the would-be wannabe celebrities would have this year once the auditions have taken place and then find that there unfortunately won't be a programme this summer - think of that? That would be a great shame, wouldn't it?

So, we have some absolutely good news that all has worked out in the end now that Shilpa Shetty has finally won this year's Celebrity Big Brother and especially now that Jade Goody has got her just desserts for making such racist comments which quite clearly have no place on Channel 4, which quite clearly has a multi-cultural programming policy which has been going strong for 25 years. Well, at least Eugene you were partly correct that Shilpa was indeed one of the favourites to win!!

Just to say a big thank you for removing a comment which there was a typing error on my part when I tried to enter my e-mail address so many apologies for the mistake which I can now see has been rectified. I also tried to audition for Big Brother 8 at New Century House in Manchester but unfortunately have been unsuccessful. Eugene, I must say that you are most definitely an inspiration to us all!!

For all fans of Eugene, just some information for you that tomorrow night's edition of The Charlotte Church Show on Channel 4 at 2200 hours featuring an interview with Big Brother presenter Davina McCall will include a brief appearance by Eugene during the programme, so we would welcome any comments about what you thought of his appearance on the programme, albeit minimal, and I for one will be watching it with interest.

Just to let people know, Eugene has now relocated up to Bonnie Scotland where he is now working for the BBC in television production and also in operating equipment and so at present, at least for the next few weeks, unfortunately there will be no programmes on Passion Radio on Sunday morning so if people are wondering why Eugene may be unable to update this site then this reason will explain why.

Just to inform you that Eugene has recently attended a rally at Kempton Park on Sunday 15th April where apparently there was a huge turnout, and hosted a quiz at the event.

A brief reminder to let all fans know that the new series of Big Brother 8 begins next Wednesday (30th May) at 2100 hours on Channel 4 and S4C; and from what I have read in Heat magazine and on CEEFAX yesterday I do believe that there will be nine contestants who will enter the house to begin with, with the remaining few coming in a few days later. The only changes to the set up of the house are the slightly smaller size of the pool, the bath will from now on be in the lounge; the fridge will find its place in the garden and the toaster and kettle will be locked away in a kitchen cupboard and will only be used once Big Brother sees fit. As from next Thursday I shall attempt to broadcast podcasts on my myspace website for all to hear - so watch this space for further details...

Unfortunately I was unable to mention that the documentary in the T4 strand entitled Big Brother: After They Were Housemates had been transmitted this morning (26th May) on Channel 4 and S4C Wales at 1045; there will however be another chance to catch this programme which will be shown again tomorrow evening (27th May) on Channel 4 at 2230 and S4C at 2300 hours and features a brief interview with Eugene sitting in an aeroplane wearing a tubbard.

There will be no broadcasts with Eugene on Uckfield FM this summer so Richard Lee will be filling the afternoon slot between 1300 and 1600, and also his Passion Radio programme is still absent at the moment on Sunday mornings.
