Just wanted to say that it was an enormous pleasure to see Eugene on our screens once again - the first proper time since his appearance on Channel 4's The Charlotte Church Show in March - and since his BBC contract. It also enabled us to see a side to Eugene which we didn't see on Big Brother during his stint two years ago, where he showed his wonderful, cheerful and enthusiastic side where he actually cheered with the crowd which I thought was very entertaining. Here's to Rocket FM in October!!!!

In addition to Eugene on 8 Out Of 10 Cats on Thursday, what an amazing end to Big Brother yesterday when Brian finally emerged to be the winner!!

It was so great to hear Eugene on independent radio this morning, talking about how he thinks it could be game over for Big Brother in the UK.

As for Rocket FM, Eugene's alright, but the guy before him is effing amazing!  Plus Eugene's only doing part of the broadcast this year.... not hard enough to manage the full stint - loser!

So on which station was Eugene on this morning, and also, was he just on one station or was he on the entire independent local radio network?

Eugene most certainly is a great guy and I'm glad that he is going out there enjoying life but then again he has carved out a very good life for himself and just hope that it stays that way!! Also, as I am sure he knows himself, living the life of a celebrity or a famous person is most certainly not what it's cracked up to be... and, also, unless if you had attended the Big Brother evictions and saw Eugene then you would know... but then again bumping into Eugene is as much likely as predicting how long a piece of string is...

As with regards the transmission of Eugene on independent radio on Sunday, I am now happy to clarify that actually Eugene had been contacted by IRN where he had mentioned that basically Big Brother is getting more wannabes rather than "real" people partly because there are more of those applying and less and less "quality" people going in for it. And as Davina McCall said, details of the forthcoming auditions for the next Big Brother will commence from Saturday 24th November and full details of where can obviously be found on the Channel 4/Big Brother website. Also, Eugene's appearance on 8 Out Of 10 Cats can also be seen on the youtube website.

By the way, it was so nice to see Eugene again on Friday evening (with a repeat transmission on Sunday afternoon) on Big Brother 8: What The Housemates Did Next. Also, it simply just goes to show that a person with such intelligence and sophistication doesn't necessarily need to look good with glasses... far from it, I think that Eugene is cool enough as he is without glasses, and personally I would think that myself and the rest of his fans will agree taht we wouldn't want him any other way... What do you think?

Worrying..... very worrying.....

Steve

September 11. 2007 13:07

Steve

I see Eugene's Wikipedia entry has been filled with a load of crap, unverified sources and personal views (of the authors).  Right pain in the arse having to change the fiction to fact!

Steve

September 11. 2007 20:55

Christopher Williams

All I will say to that is here's to Rocket FM in mid-October to early November, and also to Eugene's big milestone on St. Andrew's Day this year...

Christopher Williams

September 11. 2007 23:19

Steve

mid-October?!  Are we starting early this year?!

Steve

September 12. 2007 14:15

Christopher Williams

I wish!!

Christopher Williams

September 12. 2007 23:46

Steve

Anyway, Eugene's got limited involvement this year, due to his big commitment.

Steve

September 13. 2007 17:41

Christopher Williams

I wonder what this big commitment is, I shudder to guess!! Anyway, one shall be looking forward to listening to this programme later next month...

So, just to clarify, that Rocket FM will start broadcasting as an Internet-only service from Saturday 13th October and then will also be broadcast on its FM frequency on Friday 19th October and there will also be webcams broadcast live from the studio onto the Internet during its run before the obvious final broadcast on Monday 5th November where again (all being well!!) there will be live webcams streamed over the Internet; hope this helps!!!!

Christopher Williams

September 19. 2007 17:37

Steve

Just to clarify, Eugene is only doing one week.

Steve

September 19. 2007 18:59

Christopher Williams

I wonder if you could inform us of which of the weeks this is likely to be? (Answers on a postcard, please...!!!!)

Christopher Williams

September 26. 2007 14:39

Christopher Williams

I can now confirm that Eugene will be broadcasting on Rocket FM in the week commencing Monday 29th October between 1300 and 1500 hours in the One To Three Show; hope that this helps.

Firstly, I would like to take this opportunity to apologise to anybody who contributes to, is responsible for, or who reads this site, and to Eugene, his family members and friends, for any offence, distress or upset caused by any postings which I have placed on this website. I have since received a personal e-mail from Eugene and I have now instructed myself, as a consequential result, to use this opportunity to apologise for anything which has caused upset to many. To this end I am now giving myself a cooling off period and for the time being would very much appreciate it if I could do without any hostility or bad feeling from anybody concerned with the issues raised and in the meantime I shall continue to view this website without necessarily contributing any more to it unless if I feel that there may be any appearances on radio or television which Eugene may make should they not appear on this website automatically. Anyway in the meantime I shall take a back seat and listen to Rocket FM when it starts shortly and all I will say is thank you and goodbye.

I just wanted to let people know through this page that, if anyone is interested, Eugene will be attending a one-off event hosted by Jonty, along with some of the other housemates at the Museum of London on Thursday November 1st; this is free of charge to visitors and will start at around 1800.

Christopher Williams

October 25. 2007 08:13

Steve

That'll be something to avoid then!

Steve

October 25. 2007 09:39

Christopher Williams

Well, Steve, how can I possibly go if a) I'm in Manchester already and I may or may not listen to the lovely, astronaut-led Rocket FM; b) it would cost money to go down to London and given that I have been attacked at Piccadilly station by somebody on 28th August I don't feel safe about going out and about much, and c) I already have a visitor who lives in Sussex who apparently already has seen Eugene walking around the Lancing area some time ago!!!!?

Christopher Williams

October 25. 2007 14:32

Steve

Er...... I kind of meant an event attended by a load of Big Brother contestants sounds pretty hideous, and something to be avoided at all costs!

Steve

October 25. 2007 15:32

Christopher Williams

OK, OK, point taken... Besides which, though, it's not long to go now before Eugene is returning on board the Starship Enterprise Rocket FM on Monday afternoon, and it would be jolly good to have him back - and just a quick reminder to all those who read this website that the clocks will actually be going back this Sunday morning!!!!

Christopher Williams

Just wanted to express how delightful it was to see Eugene through the webcam AND hear the radio programme on Rocket FM this afternoon without any problems - what a bonus!!!! Unfortunately, he was seen at a completely different angle!!!!

Steve, I'm sorry but I couldn't quite make out what BTW stands for...? Anyway, I thought that your comment about sending Eugene some bags of horse-manure on Rocket FM was hilariously amusing... but I don't think that Salford is quite the area for agricultural things, whereas where I go horse-riding at Glen Jakes Riding School in Stockport apparently they do have bags readily available....

Just wanted to inform you all that, except for viewers in Scotland, the edition of Eggheads which Eugene and Steve appeared on, along with Eugene's father, which was first aired on BBC2 on 5th December 2005, had finally received another airing on BBC2 last night at 1800 hours, which was my first time because at the time of the first transmission I attended an ECDL Advanced class at Salford College which meant that I missed it, so I'm glad that I managed to catch it a second time. Anyway I hope that Eugene, Steve and everybody who reads this page will have a merry and prosperous Christmas and a happy new year!!!!!

Christopher Williams

So, a new year means a brand new set of housemates who have now entered the Celebrity Hijack house of Big Brother, which can now be seen exclusively on E4 up until January 28th; viewers to Channel 4 can receive daily coverage via the Teletext on 4 service pages 444-449 (except for viewers to S4C in Wales). Furthermore, there is a programme to which I wish to point you all in the direction of called AFTER THOMAS which is shown on ITV1 between 1600 and 1800 hours tonight (6th January, except to viewers who live in the Border Scotland region). BTW, my personal favourites to win this run are Jeremy, Amy or John.

Christopher Williams

January 28. 2008 19:17

Christopher Williams

So, the current series of Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack is to come to an end tonight on E4, and so, as I said before, that either Jeremy, John or Amy should win (even Anthony might be in with a chance!!) I would now think that Jeremy would probably win on this occasion. BTW, I have enjoyed my trip to Bognor Regis last week, and if all goes well, I shall move there by late February/early March at the latest.

LATEST BIG BROTHER: CELEBRITY HIJACK NEWS: It has been confirmed that John, the Head of the Scottish Youth Parliament, who was the first contestant to enter the famous Orwellian house, has finally emerged to be the winner of the £70,000 first prize last night in the E4 competition. When the new Channel 4 series of Big Brother starts in May, details of the exact dates will appear on this page when known, and also it can be confirmed that Eugene may be in Bognor Regis on the weekend of 5-6 July to co-present coverage of the Bognor Birdman competition for Bognor Television.

I would like to apologise that I have only just found out myself that Eugene has been back on the airwaves this morning with a programme broadcast on Seahaven FM between 1100 and 1400 today so I would like to apologise that this was late!!!!!

Christopher Williams

March 17. 2008 06:21

Steve

Bit late now!  He has been on there for the last few weeks but won't be this Saturday!  Missed the boat on that one then!

Steve

March 19. 2008 12:57

Christopher Williams

I may well have missed the boat Steve, but I haven't lost out altogether on this one though - Eugene can still be heard on Seahaven FM after the end date of 29th March anywhere in the country (and in fact the world!) on the Internet, and by the way there have been occasions when I didn't know that Eugene had been on because the schedules page hadn't been sorted out in time for the first broadcast on 8th March and, due to the fact that my computer had not been able to access the Internet in time last Saturday, unfortunately I didn't know that the programme had been aired until I was finally able to get full access to the Internet at around 1500 hours. Furthermore, I would like to wish everyone who accesses this page, Eugene and everyone concerned with this particular website a very happy Easter - and don't eat too many eggs whilst you are at it!!!!!

Christopher Williams

March 21. 2008 12:36

Christopher Williams

Just to say that it was absolutely great to see Eugene on the webcam today looking as a cool as a cucumber as well as in "fine fettle"; still, let's have it said that it more than makes up for his not being on tomorrow on Seahaven FM because he will spend Easter weekend in France!!!!

Christopher Williams

March 29. 2008 02:21

Christopher Williams

I would like to express my disappointment that I have now looked into the Seahaven FM website, only to discover that for some ridiculous reason or other Eugene's name hasn't been included in the Saturday morning schedules list for between 1100 and 1400 today, and I just think that he may have been treated rather shabbishly, and if I were a radio programmes controller I would give Eugene a far more publicised, better respected and more easily accessible time slot than that previously given to his old Passion Radio slot on Sunday mornings between 0700 and 1000, which although I did not agree with when his original programme had moved, it in the end worked out. I think it would also be nice if Eugene had a chat show on television and I would even begin to wonder how he would fare there!!!!! In the meantime, good news for all those Rocket FM listeners - Eugene may be back from Monday 13th October until Thursday 6th November between 1300 and 1500 hours - so all isn't lost there after all!!!!

PLEASE BRING THIS WONDERFUL PERSON BACK ON THE AIR ASAP!!!!

Christopher Williams

March 29. 2008 14:14

Christopher Williams

As for the above comment, I can now very happily say that Eugene's name has by now found its way onto the Seahaven FM website where it belongs, and would like to remind everyone who reads this website that the clocks do go forward this weekend and that Eugene's next big venture will be the Radio Ham Rally at Kempton Park on April 6th.
